About Global Hunger Day
Global Hunger Day was created to help ease the economic crisis facing 41 Million Americans* who currently are unable to afford the basic needs of day-to-day life. A growing section of the population fall under the "low wage" category, but are unable to qualify for government assistance programs.
Harvest for Life, CDP and All Florida Job Fairs and All Florida Careers have recognized this need within our own local community. Global Hunger Day will kick off a three day Fast-A-Thon beginning on July 1, 2008-National Hunger Awareness Day. Participants will be asked to observe a three day fresh foood fast (or as long as can be accomplished) and obtain sponsorship in an effort to raise funds to reduce the plight of fellow community members.* Ruth Mitchell- Market Watch

Global Hunger Day was created to provide unemployed and underemployed people in the Central Florida area a vehicle to produce revenue through various charitable resources and fund raising projects.
